English Theatre: Robin Hood Rocks the School!

ROB & THE HOODIES is a fun story that uses ideas from the Robin Hood legend and puts them in a school in today’s Nottingham. The play looks at old-fashioned ideas about gender, talks about bullying, and helps students learn more about the real Robin Hood from history.

The 3rd and 4th grade classes had the chance to watch the play and really enjoyed the exciting and entertaining performance.

Rob Loxby, ein liebenswerter, doch nicht gerade selbstbewusster Teenager, ist ein großer Fan der Robin-Hood-Legende und hat voller Begeisterung ein Theaterstück für eine Schulaufführung verfasst, in der er selbst den Titelhelden spielen will. Das Theater ist für ihn nicht nur Vergnügen, sondern bietet ihm auch eine Auszeit von einer Realität, in der er sich meist als Verlierer wiederfindet. Regelmäßig wird er von einer Gang, den „Hoodies“, bedroht und bestohlen und sieht auch keinen Ausweg aus seiner Opferrolle.
